Vacation
Bible School - Summer VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Want to take a
family vacation…without leaving town? Then bring your family to Jerusalem
Marketplace: Where Jesus Walked to the Cross! You'll travel back into Bible times
- without setting foot outside our community. This Bible times village will be
set up at Augustana Lutheran Church on June 22-26 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Each evening
your family can become part of history as they see, hear, touch and even taste
what it was like to live in Bible times! You'll explore marketplace shops, become
students in Synagogue School, take part in games, dance to lively Bible songs
and sample tasty tidbits as you discover more about life when Jesus walked the
earth. These experiences make God's Word come alive with new meaning for all who
participate! Opportunities to register or volunteer to become a part of the Jerusalem

Dinner for the high school youth... Music
The Hallelujah Singers are a youth choir directed
by Dave Swenson . Rehearsals are during Sunday School and the choir performs 4-5
times per year during worship. Participants are 3rd through 6th grade.
The
Angel Singers are a group of elementary singers directed by Pauline
Brittain. They rehearse during Sunday School and perform 4-5 times per year during
worship. Participants are three-year-olds through 3rd graders.
The
Bell Choir is directed by Lois Downs. The Bell Choir includes Jr. High
students through adult. They alternate playing at morning worship services, as
well as special performances.
Boy
Scouts Boy Scout Troop 132:
Augustana Lutheran Church has sponsored Troop 132 for over 60 years. The Troop
participates in monthly campouts and summer camp at Camp Mitigwa. In the near
future, the Troop and the church hope to build a garage/storage area on the church
property south of the parking lot. For more information, contact scout coordinator,
Peter Nelson. Cub Scout Pack 154: Augustana
Lutheran Church has become a recent a sponsor of Pack 154. The youth are in grades
1 through 5.
