Christian Story Time
Bethany Halverson and Traci Haselhuhn have organized and started a
Christian Story Time to be held at 10:00 a.m. every Monday through
June.
This will be held in the sixth grade classroom, with the nursery next
door.
Youth Dates
SEVENTH AND EIGHTH GRADE CONFIRMATION ORIENTATION.
Confirmation Orientation for seventh graders and their caring adults
will be August 24, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. Re-orientation for eighth graders
and their caring adults will be August 24, 2011 at 7:00 p.m.
The Confirmation retreat will be Sunday, August 28, 2011 beginning
at noon. Pizza will be provided for lunch. The first Wednesday Night
Workshop (WNW) will be August 31, 2011 at 6:30 p.m.
Seventh Grade Entrance to Confirmation Rite will be on Sunday, August
28, 2011 at the 11:00 a.m. service.
Youth Gathering 2012
"Citizens with the Saints"
There will be an informational meeting about the Youth Gathering 2012
on Sunday, August 21st following the Outdoor Worship and Brunch. Be
there to find out more about this incredible opportunity!!
Fall Sunday School News
Sunday school kickoff will be August 28, 2011 from 9:45-10:45 a.m.
for ages 3 years through high school. Each child needs an updated
registration form. You may pick up a registration form at the church
office, you may complete the necessary number of forms on registration
Sunday during the registration process or use the form enclosed. Do
not put more then one child's name on a form.
Due to Labor Day, there will be no Sunday School on Sunday, September
4, 2011. So first exciting class day will be Sunday, September 11,
2011.
SPECIAL NOTE - EACH CHILD MUST HAVE A REGISTRATION COMPLETED EVERY
YEAR.
INFORMATION IS USED FOR ALL YOUTH ACTIVITIES DURING THE YEAR.
Information needed includes insurance data and health information
on each child. We also want to know where parents/guardians will be
during Sunday school time in case of an emergency.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2010
A visit to Egypt at the time of Joseph right here at Augustana!
The Hallelujah Singers are a youth choir directed
by Dave Swenson . Rehearsals are during Sunday School and the choir performs 4-5
times per year during worship. Participants are 3rd through 6th grade.
The
Angel Singers are a group of elementary singers directed by Colleen
Wrage. They rehearse during Sunday School and perform 4-5 times per year during
worship. Participants are three-year-olds through 2nd graders.
The
Bell Choir is directed by Lois Downs. The Bell Choir includes Jr. High
students through adult. They alternate playing at morning worship services, as
well as special performances.
