Responsibilities: - encourages
members to meet the needs of the hungry of the local and world community;
- seeks ways in which the church facilities might be used for social
needs of the local community;
- encourages the formation
of groups for support of those in grief, physical, mental or social needs;
- informs the congregation of the ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran
Church in America, the Southeastern Synod, Lutheran Services in Iowa, and local
ministry; and
- evaluates the needs of the elderly and
provides transportation to worship and educational events.
