Mission Statement

In thanksgiving for God's gift of grace to us, our mission is to go to people proclaiming God's love through Christ by providing a place of worship, witnessing, teaching, and serving one another by our words and actions of love in the name of Jesus Christ.

Augustana Lutheran Church has more than 1700 members. In 2008, our membership grew by 34 people. See the table below for more details:

Becoming a Member

Only Baptism and instruction in the Christian faith is required. If you are already baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, you can attend a membership class and indicate your desire to become a part of our community. Active members of other Lutheran congregations need only to transfer their membership.
